Mining reward surges above $100,000 as bitcoin price nears $7,500

Bitcoin-miners now receive about $108,000 per block, including transactions fees.

According to fork.lol, as of 3 November, average block reward, including transaction fees, equals $107,945. The average amount of fees per block has risen to $15,946, with its share in total miners reward standing at 15%.

The mining reward for the created blocks is currently 12.5 BTC. Halving takes place every 210,000 blocks, which takes approximately four years. The previous halving happened in 2016. This algorithm was designed to restrain inflation in a decentralized non-fiat currency system.
